JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Occupational Therapist/OT Lead is to work Collaboratively with IDT to optimize function, participation and wellbeing of participants. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and reassess participants upon referral from IDT; provide and recommend meaningful and therapeutic occupations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: Graduate of an Occupational Therapist curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association; be eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association and have achieved a satisfactory grade on a proficiency examination conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Services. 1 year experience as an Occupational Therapist, minimum 1 year experience working with frail or elderly population.
Ability to demonstrate clinical competency with client-centered services to geriatric population.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PHSC and approved by CMS before working independently.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration philosophy and skill.
Type of Employees Supervised: Aides as program needs indicate.
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Licensed Occupational Therapist in NC. Valid NC driver's license and vehicle.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computer. May require lifting of up to 25 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires the use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones and copiers. Requires normal vision. Work is performed in an office environment. Contact with staff and external clients/vendors.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
