org Description The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a full-time (40 hrs/week) position with the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA).
The HR Coordinator works in concert with CFSA leadership to support CFSA's hiring process, talent retention, benefits administration, and legal compliance.
The HR Coordinator can work out of the Pittsboro, NC office or work remotely, with occasional travel throughout the Carolinas.
The HR Coordinator reports to the Finance, Administration, and HR Director and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
CFSA has a current census of 21 full-time employees and expects to hire multiple additional staff over the next year or more.
Responsibilities Hiring:
coordinate with CFSA Managers and Directors to write job descriptions; responsible for job posting and recruitment, resume processing, interview scheduling, background checks, developing and maintaining relationships with recruiting sources, assisting in the development and administration of workforce diversity plans.
Talent Retention:
promote the use of professional development funds; provide management training resources for internal promotions; schedule and perform regular employee check-ins; provide conflict resolution.
Benefits Administration:
assist with managing and providing regular internal communications regarding health insurance, retirement accounts, vacations, paid time off, and parental leave; research additional benefits or policies that would attract strong applicants and promote talent retention.
Personnel Compliance:
monitor compliance with local, state, and federal employment rules; review and update CFSA internal employment and benefits policies and procedures; maintain and update employee job descriptions.
Qualifications A minimum of three years relevant experience, such as recruiting, human resource management, benefits administration, payroll, or HR Assistant-level position.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including experience interacting and working with diverse communities, neighborhoods, and populations.
Outgoing personality who truly enjoys engaging with others, who can balance the needs of individuals with the responsibilities of CFSA as an organization and work towards increased success and professional development for all.
Associate's or BS degree, SHRM Certification, or coursework in human resources, business administration, or related field.
Salary/Benefits Salary range for this position is $42,000-50,000, commensurate with experience.

Eleven paid holidays.
Fifteen days paid vacation per year after the first six months of employment; 20 days after five years, 25 days after ten years.
Five days paid sick leave per year.
Twenty-five days of paid parental leave (either parent), with potential for a maximum additional 12 weeks for paid maternity leave using CFSA's sponsored short-term disability insurance.
Three days (per instance) paid funeral leave.
Five days (per instance) paid jury duty leave.
After one year, employees are eligible to participate in the company-sponsored 401(k) plan, with 100% employer match up to 2% of annual salary.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
